This beautiful coffee table art book tells the story of Zachia's journey into the creative process with insightful and sometimes very personal thoughts about how and why she paints. Many have poems that were written after the paintings were completed. "It is not a choice for me, and I have to paint! I have to paint! And when I paint, my love for the Earth and all living things becomes a living part of the process. Starting with "Earth" and quickly moving to "In God's Hands," I felt a Higher Consciousness which I call God working through me. Here are a few passages from my book: "The main concept in my artwork is the interrelatedness of Life, the Earth, Humanity, the Universe, and God. "In God's Hands" was the first painting in which I tried to put that concept onto a piece of canvas. It was a very exciting experience to see the painting materialize from plain white canvas into a universe with God, the Earth, and a strong Spiritual message. It was my purpose...to inspire a love of the Earth and God strong enough to inspire a higher environmental and spiritual consciousness."
Earth, Art, and Higher Consciousness takes us on a journey into the artist's mind as she "paints" her philosophy of life through her art. Poems inspired by the paintings accompany the artwork
She explains what each painting means, how she felt or how she achieved the effect she was looking for. Ms. Middlechild also wrote poems to accompany her paintings.
All eight paintings in the book are the same high quality and printed on the same paper as the Limited Edition prints she made of these oil paintings.
Excerpt from book: "My brushstrokes were bold, flowing, and sure. I painted straight from the tube and mixed the colors directly on the canvas. My cup of coffee sat cold and untouched on the window sill. All was intuition now...."
In my dreams, I can fly, and I’ve always loved God, animals, and the natural Earth. So I created Ecotopian World where Earth Magic has reemerged to bless its population with amazing gifts, such as telepathy, healing powers, and bonding with animal Leer. Shahala, our main character, is bonded with a swallow and can fly, and Darrel is bonded with a cougar. The story begins when they invite four children from the U.S. to a summer camp in Ecotopia for the first time.
Unfortunately, the United States has forgotten its ecological values and has suffered a devastating nuclear spill in one of its largest power plants. The resulting infertility crisis is now rampant, so the U.S. is using their fertile teens as Breeders. It is not enough. The US President plans a mission to get some of Ecotopia’s fertility vaccine but his mission is subverted into an abduction of breeding-aged Ecotopian children. They are imprisoned in the underground “Clinic” and forced to donate eggs and sperm to infertile U.S. couples. Shahala plans a daring search and rescue to bring their children safely back to Ecotopia, but she is unprepared for the dangers they will face, and what she could lose.
